Islamic Banking in Morocco: The current situation and future prospects are promising future factors
This thesis investigates review the current state of Islamic banking in Morocco, and to investigate the factors that influence the adoption of Islamic banking services in the country. Accordingly, a survey was conducted covering 400 respondents from most of the Moroccan regions, and data analysis was based on linear regression. The findings revealed that the main factors that influence the decision of the Moroccan customers to adopt Islamic banking services are relative advantage, compatibility and social influence.

Le marché bancaire a connu trois phases, avant le protectorat ou différentes banques étrangères se sont installés au Maroc ce qui a permis le Maroc à avoir des accords avec des pays étrangers avec le droit de liberté commercial, la période coloniale qui s’est caractérisé par la naissance des premières institutions financière marocaine, et finalement la période postcoloniale qui a connu la spécialisation des institutions financières et la création de la BAM. Le monde entier a connu une dégradation au niveau de l’économie après la crise financière de 2008, et bien évidemment le marché bancaire marocain n’était pas à l’abri de ce changement. Cependant, le secteur bancaire au Maroc a pu garder une certaine croissance, en fait, il joue un rôle central dans le financement de l’économie et il favorise d’une manière indirecte la création d’emplois et la lutte contre l’informel.

This thesis investigates in order to carry out a research regarding Islamic finance in the face of economic and financial crises. In order to analyze the practical side of it we will be conducting a research and analysis the sources and origins of this finance.
